For hundreds of years, the five kingdoms of Lunaeire lived in harmony. But through time, the powerful demon lords, led by the notorious Nagendra, became discontent with peace and began to use their power to invade the lands. Nagendra had one goal: to become king of the world. And nothing that anyone did would be enough to stop him. Nagendra and his allies, more powerful than anyone who opposed them, soon forced every monarch in Lunaeire to hand over their power, and the world became Nagendra's.

The gods, outraged at Nagendra's uprising, cursed the world to misery for every moment that the demon lord was king. From the instant he came to the throne, a storm began, covering the world in forever-unmoving black clouds. The gods' fury echoes in every clap of thunder, and the rain falls incessantly. Lunaeire is a doomed world, in the hands of a tyrant king.

Nagendra has already set about reforming the world. He has merged the two great nations Izul and Lunae to form his personal dominion, the mighty Drakovia. Eivalan, once the kingdoms of Kimoet and Laigos, is now a wealthy land where all the nobles and higher members of society live in grandeur and prosperity. Roseaus, called Mosferres before Nagendra's invasion, is the land where the poor are sent to live, and where the slaves are taken for purchase. Nagendra's world is a haven for the rich and the cruel, and a hell on earth for those who believe in justice.

His army of the undead now holds power throughout the world. His soldiers guard every street, and he controls everything and everyone. Anyone who resists his rule is taken as a slave and forced into a life of oppression and misery. No one is strong enough to successfully oppose him, and all those who might have been able to fight back are quickly being dealt with: enslaved or murdered at the hands of the demon lords. Soon, there will be no one left to resist, and Lunaeire will be forever condemned.

But hope is not lost. A small gang of rebels has formed, led by the former demon lord Derek Wolfe: a last alliance of those who will defy King Nagendra's rule. The world's last chance for peace now rests in their hands. Hidden away from the ever-watching eyes of the soldiers, they are beginning their rebellion. But will it be enough to overthrow the king and save the world from eternal damnation?
